My name is Jay. I was born and raised in the Richmond, Virginia area and lived in that area for 39 years before getting married and moving north to King George, Virginia.
My love of music, and especially my love of playing my saxophones, began in high-school and has followed me throughout my life. I play the soprano, alto and tenor saxophones as well as the flute. I was a member of Jazz Orchestra II at Virginia Commonwealth University and got to play along with the great pianist Ellis Marcellus.
The first wedding that I played for was at a small country church. I played the pre-wedding music along with music during the lighting of the candles. It was a beautiful wedding and I enjoyed it so much that I decided that I'd like to offer my services to other couples getting married.
